Next step in the home system setup is to get the VIA Epia-M Mini-ITX (a 1GHz board, 512M RAM) up and running as MythTV front-end using the Mythbuntu dist. I’ve got a fitting box for it, and a 60W transformer-on-a-card that should make this pretty silent, especially since no fan is really required. Storage (mostly to boot) will be a 4 GB CF, running on an IDE/CF interface.
