– remember to append “i8042.reset” as one of the start-up parameters in Grub (otherwise there’s no internal mouse or keyboard).
– add “enable_msi=1” to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, the row starting with options snd-hda-intel. That’s just to get sound for programs under Wine, but now at least the kids games work. 🙂
And it took a while to realize that menu.lst is now called grub.cfg, though still located under /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
Even the webcam worked out of the box. Man, these things are getting too easy to use. 😀
